As part of the Urban Jungle series, I have used the cyanotype printing process as a starting backdrop to several works within the series.

With the COVID-19 lockdown in place in Singapore, I do not have access to work on the series and look forward to sharing updates once done. Below are last updates to these pieces.

After coating the canvas with the cyanotype chemicals, I place a range of cut out wooden designs onto the exposed surface to the sun for 30 minutes. Then, brought the work inside to rinse off the chemicals to let it set overnight.

Here are the works in progress with the cyanotype backgrounds added. You can see from one of the works I have already started to add additional textural elements to align the main image element to the background.
