I have always been fascinated by the decay of public surfaces in urban areas. It almost seems to be an archeological study of various traces to a site’s culture. I wanted to amalgamate these stratums of surfaces with conventional cultural identities. This series of work immerses iconic images from various cultures with the social artifacts found lining the streets of urban areas that surround us.
